We love this Fall – the color palette is so BB! Welcome to khakis, lodens, rich camels, greys, caramel browns – we could not have planned a better match for our store interiors. That hint of blush sets off every mannequin. Brunettes and blondes will find much to like color-wise this fall.
As to what’s hot – BLAZERS with a a capital B for - BUTCH BLUM has ‘em! We are especially excited to introduce ANISSEJLIFE in our women’s department (stay tuned for details) to finally match the unbeatable de-constructed jackets we have carried with a “set the curve” bent the last two seasons from GIORGIO ARMANI and LBM 1911.
Vests are in – particularly if they have a knitted back – see CIVIDINI upstairs and TRANSIT downstairs. Coats are swinging – and we particularly love the ones from MARTIN MARGIELA. Camouflage inspired prints work well in dresses from our BB Finds and shirts from a variety of great sources in men’s. For ladies, furry soft feels right! Faux, farm raised, is all we have in store – but every guy and gal needs a touch like Marilyn prescribed….and make SURE you have the right plaid – we LOVE subtle Princely ones, as in Prince of Wales only please, skirts, shirts, pants – it’s all good!
What we would guard against – go light on the peplum thing – poof isn’t always where you want to wear it…and maxi coats combined with a maxi skirts – where did YOU go? A word of caution on choker necklaces – make sure you have an escape hatch! Jade green – not so much!
As always, we strive to serve up the best of the season along with the best advice. Welcome to Fall 2011, it is the perfect anecdote to where did our summer go? We look forward to seeing you in shop and online – if you haven’t friended or started following us yet – you are missing the deals of the day – and so much more. Best of all – our event calendar, which makes memories every month. Hope you like our
new website – it lands everything a fashionista wants to know all on one page.
