CELEBRITY SIGHTING - SUPERMODELS IN CLOSED

CLOSED posted this terrific shot of supermodels Andrea Diaaconu (Romania's Next Top Model) and Toni Garrn (currently dating Leo DiCaprio - a huge prerequisite for a successful modeling career ;) ) in their NY store.  It's no big deal to see models wearing hot clothes - but it's a VERY big deal when they're buying for themselves in the store!

Iker Casillas, the goalkeeper for the Real Madrid soccer team, was spotted out and about in a cardigan by German sportswear brand Closed. Closed is a brand all about the basics - shirts, pants, cardigans, chinos, jackets, etc, in every color of the rainbow. CLOSED'S BIG OPENING

This spring, CLOSED celebrates the opening of its first Paris boutique, at 18 Rue du Poitou, in the third Arrondissement.  The boutique feature's CLOSED's clean, chic sensibility in every detail - the spare concrete floors and white walls contrast beautifully with the pops of color CLOSED is known for.

The team also welcomed a new designer, Kostas Murkadis, who brings a punchy "Tropical Urbanism" to the line, inspired by Japanese communities in Brazil. Murkadis uses themes of uniform, athletic attire, and tropical prints interchangeably to create an edgy but chic collection of sportswear.

"Closed" is a German brand that riffs on classic Menswear ideas with their own modern, urban sensibility. They are fond of working with better sportswear fabrics - cotton chino, linen and wool blends, and cashmere, in interesting colors and textures, typically in solid or tonal patterns.  We are excited to introduce the Ladies collection to Seattle this coming Fall season, and present our first Fall collection for men as well.

KENT'S PICKS - CLOSED AND LBM 1911

Jacket - $595 - LBM 1911...Pant - $215 - Closed

Both of these were really exciting to me, in very different ways. The jacket is a beautiful fabric - a dove gray silk and linen blend that's incredibly light and soft, but not as "wrinklesome" as a true linen would be on its own. The pant...well - if you know me, you'll know that these have my name written all over them, and they're a pleasure to wear. Modern, but not skinny...soft, but not flimsy...casual, but not sloppy...and BOY ARE THEY PINK!
