KENT'S PICK - ESEMPLARE

Esemplare - $695

 This is, without a doubt, one of the lightest tech fabrics I've ever seen. It's a tissue weight, yet it has tons of stretch...it's almost more like a shirt than a traditional windbreaker.  I'm also wild about the elastic details at the wrists, because I'd tend to wear a garment like this with the sleeves pushed up.  Truly an incredible variation on a classic.

KENT'S PICK - INIS MEAIN "PUB CARDIGAN"

Cashmere/wool cardigan - Inis Meain - $845

I'm fascinated by this yarn...in order to create the 'Donegal' feeling of this knit, Inis Meáin had to ply 2 different gauges of yarn together, then knit the combination. The effect is of woven tweed, rustic and three-dimensional. It's a very unusual way to treat navy blue - most of the time navy is mixed with charcoal, and comes out much preppier.  The wool/silk/cotton/cashmere blend is exactly the right weight for fall weather in Seattle.

KENT'S PICK - VARVATOS USA ★ JACKET

John Varvatos ★ USA - $545

I think this is one of the neatest pieces I've seen in its category. It's an eye-catching color (one of this season's signature colors, actually) but not particularly difficult to wear, and it has a really nice attention to detail. The interior is softly constructed with minimal canvas and no lining, so the wool can breathe properly. Nicely done, Mr. Varvatos!

KENT'S PICK - LBM 1911 DEAL OF THE DAY

We just got this jacket and I could barely contain myself...I had to have it. It's the perfect summer garment - lightweight, an easy color to wear, and a versatile style too - perfect for jeans or casual slacks. I was particularly pleased to find out that other stores had retailed this for $799 - at 50% of our price this is truly THE Deal of the day. Available in an IT 52 and 54 - can be fit to a size 40-44R chest.

KENT'S PICKS - CLOSED AND LBM 1911

Jacket - $595 - LBM 1911...Pant - $215 - Closed

Both of these were really exciting to me, in very different ways. The jacket is a beautiful fabric - a dove gray silk and linen blend that's incredibly light and soft, but not as "wrinklesome" as a true linen would be on its own. The pant...well - if you know me, you'll know that these have my name written all over them, and they're a pleasure to wear. Modern, but not skinny...soft, but not flimsy...casual, but not sloppy...and BOY ARE THEY PINK!

KENT'S PICK - TRANSIT BOMBER

It's no secret around here that I *LOVE* Transit, and this piece is just another great example why. The fabric is a nylon/cotton/metal blend and has a permanent wrinkle. It's haphazardly absorbed the garment's dye, creating a modern texture with weather-resistant functionality.  Indestructible, eternally cool (without being trendy), and unique - a recipe for fashion excellence!

KENT'S PICK - ROGUE SUEDE

Distressed suede jacket - Rogue - $645

The skin on this jacket is SO exciting...it's super soft, and treated with a finish that looks 'well-loved,' which is fabulous because you don't need to worry about it getting hurt by inclement weather. Any discoloration or scrapes this gets into will only make it more beautiful. I'm a fan of the fit too - close to the body, but not binding or stiff.

One of my favorite labels in the store - Cantarelli provides a really incredible fit...not too skinny/trendy, but not dopey either. This color looks great with about 95% of my wardrobe so for me it's a really easy choice.
