Transit scarves have always been a great way to add texture to your outfit, and these are no exception. The manufacturer even recommends wadding them up in a twisted ball when not being worn to create a permanent wrinkle. 

Z ZEGNA PALE BLUE CHINO JEAN

Ice blue cotton/linen 5-pocket pant - Z Zegna - $295

This pant is for the guy who wants to try out an interesting light color for spring, but doesn't want to go all-the-way white. It's a very pale blue with hints of grey, in a 5-pocket jean cut that functions as a chino. The cotton and linen blend is textural, but not so "wrinklesome" that it instantly turns into a mess.

MARTIN MARGIELA SLOUCH SLEEVELESS CARDY

Martin Margiela - $695

Most designers have a signature piece that they do variations on every season (For Jean-Paul Gaultier it's the trenchcoat, for John Varvatos it's the hook-and-eye closure blazer)...One of Margiela's tropes is the button-front cardigan, which the maison re-imagines in several different ways two or three times a year. This season's variation is soft and loose, with draped armholes and a semi-caped back - letting you wear it as-is, like a tunic, or belted to give it more definition.

ALLEGRI WEATHERPROOF SHIRT JACKET

Allegri - $695

This piece by Allegri is a marvelous Springtime alternative to the classic windbreaker. Made of a weather-proof nylon, it's got just enough detail to be cool, without looking excessive. The color is actually a black/brown - just enough contrast to go nicely with a wide variety of outfits and colors.

Both of these were really exciting to me, in very different ways. The jacket is a beautiful fabric - a dove gray silk and linen blend that's incredibly light and soft, but not as "wrinklesome" as a true linen would be on its own. The pant...well - if you know me, you'll know that these have my name written all over them, and they're a pleasure to wear. Modern, but not skinny...soft, but not flimsy...casual, but not sloppy...and BOY ARE THEY PINK!

 This interview is courtesy of Fogal Hosiery, a century-old Swiss legwear company used in the making of "The Great Gatsby," due in theaters this coming May.

Fogal is also one of our favorite resources in our Spring collection, their 'pois' dot-pattern and lace-figured hose two prominent styles for us. We also have a wonderful selection of their basic solid and sheer tights and leggings for everyday wear.
